"Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse" was originally painted in oils on an 8"x10" artist's mdf panel. Each lighthouse in Maine has its own unique personality and they can look very different depending on if you're viewing them from the land or the sea. This particular painting was painted in the artist's studio from a photo reference taken by the artist in her father-in-law's boat, because hanging on to an easel and palette while trying to paint in a rocking boat is just a little too tricky for Heather!
